FAQ
Okay, sure, there haven’t been any questions asked yet from anybody, save for a few of our friends, but this page is written in the hopes that we can head-off any questions before they’re frequently asked. If you have a question, you can post it below in the comments, or write to us on the contact page.
Why aren’t the categories sorted alphabetically?
Each category is sorted by “most recent first”, so that regular readers can always find the newest content. If you want to see the alphabetical list, you can just go to the complete alphabetical archive for your convenience.
How many definitions are there?
There are already hundreds posted, with hundreds more scheduled to post in coming months. It’s already roughly book-length, but we’re holding off on some of them for now. For the complete list as of today, check out our view all definitions page.
Why aren’t all of them posted now?
We’re waiting for more outside submissions to come in, and once they do, we’ll start running them at a faster clip. We want the fun to be about coming back to find out what’s new, and a big part of that is you guys putting in your two-cents as well.
Is there a TheBabyDictionary.com book?
Not yet, but I assure you it’s coming. Hopefully we won’t have to self-publish, but even if we do, we’ll make it happen. We hope to include pictures, comment excerpts and previously unreleased material as well. It will be a fun book, I promise.
Who runs TheBabyDictionary.com?
We’re the same people that built and developed Perplexing Times, Montana with Kids, Puerto Rico Lifestyle Magazine, and Glossy News. We’re basically just people with a real passion for parenting, and a bit of free time for creative endeavors on our hands.
What’s the point of TheBabyDictionary.com?
Part of it is to help parents know what their kids are saying, and meaning, but the other part is to give parents a place to share their experiences too. Anybody can contribute, and we can have some fun in doing so.
Can I post my own definitions?
You bet and yes please! Go to the submit yours page, and follow the instructions there.
Can I suggest more (better) header images?
Sure thing! We can have an unlimited number of random images scrolling across the top, so if you’ve got one you’d like to add to the mix, use the contact page to get in touch with us, and say that you want to send a picture, and we’ll write back with info on how to do it (you’ll just email it to us, but we have to touch base first using the contact form.)
How can I get involved?
It’s easy! You can submit definitions, post comments, tell your friends about us using the Share/Save buttons on each entry, or talk us up on your blog.
Is there TheBabyDictionary.com merchandise?
Not yet, but we hope to have that available at some soon point. We already have some great ideas for T-Shirts and coffee mugs, but time will tell, and only your interest and dedication will help us get to that point.
