Submit Yours!

We’d love to have you join us here in The Baby Dictionary world. We want to define everything that makes kids so fun, funny and special, but we can’t do it without your help. Anybody that adds more terms and definitions to The Baby Dictionary will be our new best friend.

CREATE AN ACCOUNT:

1 – Create an account by going here: www.TheBabyDictionary.com/wp-admin
2 – Click the REGISTER link.
3 – Add your username and email address, and click “register”.
4 – You’ll get an email with your user name and temporary password within a few minutes.
5 – Use these to login to the site.

ADD YOUR DEFINITIONS:

First, check to see if it’s something already defined on the master list. It’s OK if it is, but if you’re adding to something we already have, do it on the comments section of that word’s page. You can get to it by clicking on the word you’re defining and scrolling down to the bottom. Push comes to shove, you can just say it’s already defined in your post (so we don’t accidentally create a duplicate entry.)

1 – Once logged in, click on “Posts”, and then “Add New” (both from the left navigation sidebar.)
2 – Under “Add New Posts” you’ll put in the word or term you’re defining.
3 – In the main box you add your text defining that term.
4 – On the right column sidebar, look for “Categories” and scroll down to select the letter corresponding with the first letter of your term (for “Boats” you would select “B”.)
5 – Once you’re done, click “Submit for Review”, and you’re done!
6 – Add more, if you like, by clicking again on “Add New”

GUIDELINES:

There are a few things to bear in mind, these are just a few of them.
1 – Add the word type before the definition whenever possible, like (n) for noun, (v) for verb, etc, just like on the rest of the site.
2 – Keep all your submissions PG in nature.
3 – Spell-check and format your entries as best you’re able prior to submission.
4 – You agree TheBabyDictionary.com will assume copyright authority over your term and definition.
5 – You swear your submitted content is 100% original, and that you have the right to grant us permission to use it.
6 – You extend us license to use your submission, on this site or elsewhere, to promote or advance this site/project, or otherwise. If we ever get to make a book out of it, you’ll get credit as a contributing author.
7 – You agree to tell anyone that asks that we’re totally awesome.
